Should I add a cosigner?If you are a student, new to the workforce, or do not meet general application requirements, a cosigner might be beneficial. You can also add a cosigner later in the process if you think you might qualify on your own initially.

Is there anything I can do to expedite my application process?Yes! Including all the correct documents with your initial application can save time and prevent delays. Feel free to ask your showing agent or contact our office to confirm which documents are needed, as these may vary depending on the property manager or landlord.

Do you offer virtual or in-person tours?We only offer in-person tours as we like to connect and build a relationship with the people we are showing apartments to.

What are your hours?Our showing agents are available for tours seven days a week, roughly between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

When should I start looking and applying for apartments?Landlords in LA typically hold apartments for approved applicants with a move-in date 2-3 weeks in advance. It's a good idea to start your search 3-4 weeks before your desired move-in date.

Is it free to lease through J&B Realty?Yes, our services are completely free for tenants. We earn a commission from landlords and managers upon leasing.

Is my application transferable to different properties?No, it is not the same application link for every property. While many applications can be transferred to other properties for free, some property managers and owners require their own specific application form.

Is J&B Realty a management company or landlord?J&B Realty is a full-service leasing operation. We collaborate with various owners and property management companies to lease their vacancies. We handle marketing, showings, application processing, and communicate the owner's final decision to you.

How long does the application process take?We aim to provide a decision on completed applications within 24-48 hours. However, since the final decision is made by the property owner, the process may sometimes be quicker or take a bit longer. We will do our utmost to get you a response as swiftly as possible.

What should I do if there are no showing times that work for me?We can connect you with the showing agent assigned to the property to arrange a suitable time for you.
